Jade Moneky Mas Announces “Fly Tobago” as Official Theme for Tobago Carnival 2025

Jade Moneky Mas has revealed “Fly Tobago” as the official theme for Tobago Carnival 2025. Inspired by Trinidad & Tobago’s reputation as a world-class birding paradise, the theme invites masqueraders to embody the vibrant colors, graceful flight, and joyful spirit of the islands’ diverse avian life.
Fly Tobago 2025
Drawing on the more than 470 bird species that inhabit Tobago’s forests, wetlands, and coastline, “Fly Tobago” celebrates nature’s own carnival of feathers. Costume lines are named and designed to evoke six of the region’s most beloved birds, each bringing its own unique flair to the road.

ALCEDO
Inspired by the kingfisher’s iridescent blues and fiery oranges, ALCEDO features sleek wing attachments and crystal accents that catch the light like sun on water. -
MOTMOT
A tribute to the vibrant motmot, this line blends teal and rust plumes with signature racket-shaped tail details, offering a playful yet elegant silhouette. -
COQUETTE
Channeling the delicate beauty of the decorative coquette hummingbird, COQUETTE combines soft pastels with feather-trimmed capes and shimmering beadwork. -
MANGO HUMMINGBIRD
Bursting with deep greens and rich purples, MANGO HUMMINGBIRD features lightweight wings and sequined bodices that allow for effortless, high-speed “hovering” on the move. -
MACAW
A premium offering, MACAW spotlights the parrot’s bold reds, yellows, and blues through expansive feathered headdresses and cascading fringe that dances with every step. -
CROWNED
Evoking the stately crowned pigeon, CROWNED is defined by soft gray plumage, majestic feathered collars, and subtle metallic details for a regal finish.
Registration and Costume Access
Registration for “Fly Tobago” is now open at www.jademonkeycarnival.com. All six costume lines are available for preview and purchase online. Early-bird participants who register by July 31, 2025 receive an exclusive “Fly Tobago” masquerader T-shirt and a VIP drink voucher redeemable at JadeMonekyBar—one of Tobago’s most popular beachfront bars, known for its signature rum cocktails and laid-back island atmosphere.
