Tobago Carnival 2026 is still months away, but this is where the journey begins. As bands prepare to reveal their themes and costume sections slowly take shape, now is the ideal time to get familiar with the experience and start planning thoughtfully.

Tobago Carnival kicks off at dawn with J’ouvert, where revelers cover themselves in mud, paint or oil. Later, the Parade of the Bands brings together over 20 masquerade troupes, steelpan orchestras and live soca DJs. Along the way, vendors serve doubles, jerk chicken, bake ’n’ shark and rum punch. With roots stretching back to 1847, this two-day celebration of music, dance and culture is Tobago’s most vibrant weekend—are you ready to join in?
